Prison Preparation Services

After a sentence or appeal, a defendant next faces a new and tough arena alone—enduring the execution of a federal prison sentence. At McPartland Federal Prison Strategies, we offer services focusing on preparing you for two critical aspects of this experience: navigating the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) procedures and addressing the personal challenges you may encounter during your time in prison.

We educate and help prepare you and your family for a federal prison sentence. We provide support and answer questions and concerns for your family while you serve your sentence. Contact us today to learn more about our services.

BOP Evaluation

Understanding how the BOP evaluates and treats you requires attention to detail, beginning long before the sentence.

From your pre-sentence interview with Probation, Pre-sentence Report (PSR), PSR objections (BOP relies heavily on the PSR), Security Classification Scoring, Custody Classification, Designation, SPARC-13 assessment and PATTERN scoring, First Step Act eligibility, RDAP eligibility, and BOP sentence computation accuracy to Early Release methods via First Step Act and Second Chance Act and life in a Halfway House and Home Confinement, there is much to understand.

The Human Aspect

On the human side, you must become familiar with steps to take for you and your family before you surrender. We help educate you on life in prison, including healthcare issues, hygiene, safety, dealing with inmates and staff, commissary, chow hall and TV room practices, work assignments, UNICOR, and many other aspects of how to conduct yourself in prison. No one can predict everything that can happen in prison, but you should be as prepared as possible.

We provide all or any combination of the following services:
